The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Niger State Council has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of a single of its customers and the State Correspondent of The Standard Newspaper, Mathew Jwantu.
The NUJ conveyed its heartfelt condolences to the bereaved loved ones and acknowledged the profound affect of Jwantu’s demise not only on his loved types but also on the whole local community of journalists in Niger State.
In a condolence message extended to the relatives on behalf of the Union, Comrade Abu Nmodu, the State Chairman of NUJ, expressed the Union’s profound grief on obtaining the unhappy information of Jwantu’s passing.
He highlighted the sizeable contributions that the late journalist experienced made to the expansion and advancement of the Union, especially during Condition Congresses and other NUJ things to do.
Describing Mathew Jwantu as a light, courageous, diligent, and vibrant journalist with an unwavering passion for the career, Comrade Abu Nmodu acknowledged the excellent determination with which Jwantu carried out his duties.
Though acknowledging the agony prompted by the decline, the Chairman of NUJ also made available some solace by pointing out that Jwantu had led a satisfying everyday living. He expressed the Union’s collective mourning for Mathew Jwantu when also consoling them selves with the awareness that he remaining a favourable influence for the duration of his time.
Comrade Abu Nmodu prolonged his heartfelt sympathies to the customers of the Point out Correspondents Chapel, urging them to check out the loss as an act of God and to discover toughness in unity and shared encounters.
In conclusion, Comrade Abu Nmodu presented his prayers for the repose of Mathew Jwantu’s soul, beseeching God to grant him everlasting rest. He also prayed that the bereaved family members would obtain the fortitude to cope with the immeasurable decline through this challenging period of time.
