The Hepburn Hawks won the Saskatchewan High Schools Athletic Association 2A boys volleyball championship Saturday at Harvest City Christian Academy.

Hepburn defeated the Wilkie Broncs 25-21, 25-13 in the gold-medal match.

In the bronze-medal match, the Laval Lions defeated the Harvest City Reapers 25-22, 25-21. Harvest City and Ecole Monseigneur de Laval were the tournament’s co-hosts.
Bellevue (1A boys), Assiniboia (3A boys) and Meadow Lake (4A boys) also won provincial championships on Saturday.
PAT CANADIANS PREVAIL
The Regina Pat Canadians improved their record to 15-4-0-1 on Sunday by posting a 4-1 Saskatchewan Male AAA Hockey League victory over the host Prince Albert Mintos.
Kolten Bridgeman scored the winning goal, snapping a 1-1 tie with seven seconds left in the second period.
Bridgeman and teammate Noel Englot each had one goal and one assist. Nolan Stevenson and Ryan McDonald also scored for Regina.

The Pat Canadians avenged Saturday’s 6-5 loss in Prince Albert.
Ashton Tait led the Mintos with two goals. Regina’s offensive leaders were Casey Brown (two goals), Koen Senft (two goals) and Ryan Zaremba (three assists).
The Pat Canadians are to return to action Friday against the Estevan Bears (8 p.m., Southey Arena).
PYNE PERFECT
Regina Pats prospect Kelton Pyne made 27 saves for the shutout as the Melville Millionaires blanked the Kindersley Klippers 4-0 in Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League action Saturday at the Horizon Credit Union Centre.
It was the first shutout of the season for Pyne, who is from White City. He had three shutouts as a 16-year-old last season — two with the Pats and one with the Millionaires.
