Hundreds of baby seahorses released in Sydney Harbour

Scientists say they have finished the world’s most significant release of seahorses into Sydney Harbour to strengthen populace numbers. The White’s Seahorse is endemic to Australia’s east coastline and became endangered in 2020 thanks to pollution and habitat decline.

Earlier this year, the Sydney Institute of Maritime Science captured 3 pregnant males and served raise their infants in captivity to strengthen their possibilities of survival. The 380 juveniles have been launched with tags that will enable scientists to monitor their growth and reproductive good results in the wild.
