Vice President Kashim Shettima presided above the Countrywide Financial Council (NEC) conference in Abuja on Thursday amidst furore over fuel hike and hardship in the land.

Further enhance in the value of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) is eliciting anger in the land, with lots of Nigerians crying for solution to the nation’s financial state.

The federal government is urgently brainstorming to salvage the financial system and serene frayed nerves.

In the midst of these, Shettima presided about the NEC meeting at the Point out Household, Abuja on Thursday with many governors and top rated players in the economic sector in attendance.

All those at the conference have been the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume Group CEO of the NNPCL, Mele Kyari, Performing Governor of the Central Lender, Folashodun Shonubi, Performing Accountant-General of the Federation and Lasting Secretaries of the Ministries of Petroleum, Agriculture and Funds and Nationwide Arranging.

Also present have been the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara Condition and the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Discussion board, Hope Uzodinma of Imo Condition.

The Governors of Gombe, Katsina, Lagos, Nasarawa, Ogun, Kaduna, Kebbi, Yobe, Delta, Bayelsa, Abia, Zamfara, Anambra, Bauchi, Jigawa, Cross River, Plateau, Edo, Benue, Akwa Ibom, and Sokoto had been also current. Governors of Enugu, Oyo, Rivers, Adamawa, and Kano states ended up represented by their Deputy Governors.
