The Home of Reps on Wednesday urged the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to increase the validity period of its benefits for at least three several years.

According to him “On February 13, 1978, the Federal Armed service Govt printed decree No. 2 of 1978, which established the Board, the Federal Govt Council Revised Decree No.2 of 1978 by August 1988, the revisions was later formalised in Decree No. 33 of 1989, which came into power on December 1, 1989.”
The lawmaker famous that JAMB was authorised by Decree No.2 of 1978 (as amended by Decree No. 33 of 1989) to: maintain a matriculation examination for admission to all Nigerian Universities, Polytechnics, and Faculties of Instruction appoint Examiners, Moderators, Invigilators, associates of Subject matter Panels and committees, and other persons in link with matriculation examinations and any other matters ancillary thereto and put adequately capable applicants in tertiary institutions just after thinking of: (i) the vacancies offered in every single tertiary institution amongst other items.
