Reps to investigate alleged tax abuse by public officials as Nigeria loses N8trn annually

The Home of Representatives has settled to established up an advert hoc Committee to look into alleged abuse of tax incentives, breaks and waivers by general public officers and benefiting providers.

This was the sequel to a unanimous adoption of a movement by Oluwole Oke (PDP-Osun) at plenary on Thursday.

Moving the movement earlier, Mr Oke mentioned it is inside of the ambits of the federal government’s powers to exercise executive and legislative jurisdiction in excess of items in the Distinctive Legislative list as contained in the 2nd program of the Structure.
